  1. Two other considerations regarding hip fracture:

    1. Regular exercise can build bone density and so help prevent hip fractures. The earlier in our lives we make this part of our daily routine, the more likely it will help.

    2. There is evidence of an association between hip fractures and exposure to fluoride: http://fluoridealert.org/content/ifin-138/. This is of concern when you consider just how much fluoride we are exposed to in this country from various sources, including fluorinated pharmaceuticals (http://www.slweb.org/ftrcfluorinatedpharm.html), fluoridated water, foods produced with fluoridated water, grape products (http://fluoridealert.org/issues/sources/f-pesticides/), tea (http://naturalsociety.com/is-your-tea-loaded-with-toxic-fluoride/), non-stick cookware and other Teflon products, and of course dental products.
