From small beginnings in Victoria in 1995 the Pharmacists’ Support Service (PSS) is now celebrating 20 years of supporting the profession.
This includes expansion to support all Australian pharmacists, pharmacy interns and pharmacy students.
To acknowledge this achievement and to assist in funding the expanded service PSS is aiming to raise $20,000 through fundraising activities in 2015.
NAPSA during their recent Congress on the Gold Coast has made an amazing start to the fundraising effort by raising over $5000.
On being informed of the NAPSA effort John Coppock, PSS President, said “The generosity of NAPSA members shows that the future of pharmacy is in good hands. If our student body can raise over $5000 I am sure that the rest of the profession can assist us to exceed our aim to raise $20,000. With such a strong lead from NAPSA, surely the pharmacy profession can meet the challenge.”
The Pharmacists’ Support Service (PSS) is available to provide a listening ear from 8am to 11pm every day of the year. Call 1300 244 910 for anonymous and confidential support from a pharmacist colleague over the phone.
