Momentum is building for the Australian Self Medication Industry (ASMI) Conference on 11 November 2015 and registrations are closing in two weeks.

ASMI welcomes new Medicines Australia Board

The Australian Self Medication Industry (ASMI) welcomed the new Medicines Australia Board and thanked the previous Board Members for their contribution to the pharmaceutical industry.
Deon Schoombie, ASMI Chief Executive Officer, said:

Julie McCrossin to MC ASMI’s Conference

The Australian Self Medication Industry (ASMI) today announced that former ABC radio broadcaster, Julie McCrossin, will be the Master of Ceremonies at ASMI’s November conference on innovations in self care.
Filomena Maiese, ASMI Marketing and Business Development Director, welcomed Julie and said she is looking forward to seeing her in action at ASMI’s Conference.
“Julie has a reputation for getting people talking and she is renowned for her lively, engaging and entertaining conference facilitation.
“She brings intellectual vigour, humour and a natural vibrancy to her role as a MC and generates stimulating conversations amongst audience members.
“Julie also has a number of clever tricks for keeping everything running smoothly whilst ensuring lively debate.
This adds a buzz to the day and will fire up the audience,” she added.
Julie McCrossin Biography
After 20 years as a broadcaster with ABC Radio National, ABC TV and Network Ten, she is now a freelance journalist and facilitator.
She presented the radio show Life Matters on ABC Radio National for five years, covering countless health, welfare and educational topics with a frequent rural focus.
Julie was also a team leader on the media quiz show “Good News Week” for five years on Network Ten and ABC TV.
Julie has qualifications in the arts, education and law.
